We spent Thanksgiving with the Olson's this year.
It is always fun to be with family.
Aunt Susie, Clint's sister hosted. We love her house. It accomadates large groups nicely.
They have had a trying couple of months with health issues in the family, so they were feeling especially thankful to be able to get together. The food was amazing and so was the company!
We played games, watched movies, visited and just enjoyed being together!
Yummy Food!
We enjoyed the traditional Thanksgiving Feast.
Turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green bean salad, stuffing,
cranberry sauce, rolls, breads, pies.......
The family traditional Orange Bread
Pear Glaze Salad
The Turkey!
I love Thanksgiving and the opportunity it gives us to reflect on our many blessings.
So here is a few of mine:
So here is a few of mine:
1) I'm grateful for my SEVEN beautiful children whom I love deeply.
They consume 90% of my time and I love it!
2)
I'm also incredibly grateful for Clint who makes it possible for me to
spend 90% of my time with the kiddos. He really is the best and is very
considerate of me and what I need.
3)
I am happy to enjoy good health. Seeing others suffer with sickness
really helps you appreciate how much of a blessing good health is.
4)
I'm so thankful for my faith in God, and His son Jesus Christ. It
gives me a sense of purpose and peace to know that I'm here on this
earth for a reason. That I have a loving Heavenly Father who watches
over me. And an older brother who has paid the ultimate price so that I
can live with Him again someday.
5) This beautiful country we live in. The freedoms it offers and the brave men and women who serve and protect that freedom.
