Merry Making

This Christmas season was full of Merry Making.
It started with the kids performing in the local production of "A Christmas Carol".
I love that story and it is always a great way to get into the Christmas spirit.
We made gingerbread houses, spent time with extended family, joined in on a sub for Santa my sis was involved in, and went snowboarding together.
Use old Halloween candy to decorate the gingerbread houses? I think yes.

The kids all got new pjs on Christmas Eve.

Christmas Morning at our house doesn't start until 8am.  We all had some fun surprises.

The best one was what Clint did.  He wrapped a big present and gave it to Luke. Inside was a present for Shelby to open. Inside was another box for Zach to open.  It went through the whole family until me.  Inside a small box was a car key.  As you can tell we were all surprised.
When the kids realized what it was they were way more than thrilled!
We all ran outside, and sure enough there was a new car in the driveway!
We'd been talking about getting something smaller that the girls could learn to drive on, but hadn't thought too much about it.....or so I thought!
Daddy-o is getting pretty sneaky these days! :)

We spent Christmas afternoon eating yummy dessert with the Anderson family.

It was pretty funny how the men all hung out in one room while all the ladies visited in the other.
