February

Our Valentine's day consisted of this delicious meal.
(I'm laughing as I post this lovely picture of our food because a comedian we recently heard was making fun of people who do just this! :)

Crab legs are definitely a favorite of mine.
It was far from romantic, and a little labor intensive to help all the kiddos de-shell, but so yummy!

This was Kenadi's request for her Valentine Day hair.

Luke is slowly phasing out of the napping stage.  He seems to think if he's taken a nap then he doesn't need to go to bed until 11pm.  We were fed up with him coming upstairs every 5 mins. so he opted to stay on the stairs without us knowing.  Apparently they seemed to be quite comfy.

Someone is a little excited for summer.
We've been working on his swimming so
hopefully by then he will be able to swim on his own.

My sweet babes is 9 months old already.
He loves this cupboard, taking baths, avocados, (actually he's likes most the food I've given him)
reading stories & playing peek-a-boo. He is a mellow, happy little guy.

Clint & I both celebrate birthdays this month.
We decided to get out of the cold, yucky, inversion laden winter
and take an extended weekend to Cali.  It was fabulous!  Although it wasn't as warm as
we'd hoped for the sun, the ocean, and the blue sky does something amazing for the soul.

The view from our room.

We had one little stowaway.  He is the best traveler.

We were also joined by some great friends, the Heaps,
who just happen to have a great reason for celebrating too.

We ate at some fun restaurants, but
Ted loves cooking and he and Clint whipped up several "lovely" meals
for us that surpassed anything we ate out.

People watching is a favorite pastime of mine,
and along the board walk you couldn't ask for any better.
This guy was entertaining the kids with a giant bubble maker. We also saw some great volleyball players, some Obama loving protesters who were the "99%", a vagabond giving them some lip, lots of cute dogs, a few street side musicians, a wedding photo shoot and
Clint's favorite- all the beautiful sports cars.

We even spotted some dolphins out in the ocean.

We spent some time at the pool, actually more time in the hot tub....
but laying in the sunshine was heavenly!

Clint's unbirthday is today.  He's a leap year baby ya know.
The longer I've known him, the more I love him.

Here's a few fun facts about him:

-He is a collector at heart.
He collects Jordan Basketball shoes, coins, baseball cards, and most recently guns.

-He loves cars.
Mostly older classic muscle cars. But he appreciates anything rare, fast, or loud.

-He is an expert organizer.
I love taking him to costco with me because he can always fit everything into the cart perfectly.  He is also great at packing the car for long trips.  His closet is immaculate, color coded and everything.

-He loves to golf.

-He does most the laundry.

-He is a fun dad.
He loves playing games with the kids.  Most Sunday afternoons are spent playing some game or another.  He also takes them fun places and is always the one to go to for treats.

-He enjoys serving others.
Whether it's feeding the neighbors animals, scrapping others' snowy driveways, paying for the missionaries' lunches, running countless errands for me, dropping off kids' forgotten homework, lunches, etc., he is happy and willing to help out where needed.

-His favorite tv show is Supernatural.

-His favorite food is meat & potatoes. (Idaho boy)
