Cycling

The cycling season this year was awesome.  We rode to the Zoo, my first time ever.
About 42 miles total.  Such a fun ride, but seriously uphill both ways.

Our first organized ride was Goldilocks.  It ended up being so cold and rainy that we only lasted about 5 miles, we had planned on 60.  It did give us ample time spend lots of money shopping though :)

The next ride we did was Little Red, held up in beautiful Cache County.
The theme for this ride was Off to Bollywood.
They always go way out on decorations, food, and give-aways.
This is always my favorite ride of the year.
There is something amazing about riding out in the country,
chatting with friends, and fresh air blowing on your face.

Oh, and the people watching is one of the best.

The cows think so too….

Another route we often ride is up Wasatch Blvd.  Hills, hills, hills, but scenery to die for.

I got my share of flat tires this year.  Dang thorns!!

The last organized ride we did this year was The Wildflower Pedalfest.
It was held up in Mountain Green.  It was just Carrie and me.
I really liked this ride too.  It was very pretty and the weather was perfect.

We went on a trip up to Yellowstone with a group of friends and while we were there we took a few hours to ride through the park.  That is a cool experience!  Clint even came.  It's the first time he's been on his bike in a couple years and after a few miles he was feeling it, yet he persevered and finished the ride.  What a man!

It's always sad to end the season, but I can't wait until next year.
