Alexis turned 12 last week, so to celebrate, Clint took her on a trip to New York. We decided that 12 is a big birthday so each child will get a special Daddy trip. Alexis chose New York because her favorite things are Drama and Shopping.
that is great! she looks sooo happy. we have that same tradition. ted takes each kid alone on 2 trips one when they are 12 and one right around graduation between 16-18 years old. we started it years ago when we couldn't afford to take the entire family somewhere neat like that...and it's been a great tradition in so many ways that we still carry on! our oldest chose ny city, too, for her trip when she was 16!
I'm here to record and share the significant and not so significant times of our family. I'm a mom of 7, into health & fitness, nutrition, triathlons, decorating, gardening, reading, photography, traveling to warm tropical places.

"We do not need more knowledge, we need more character. "We do not need more government, we need more culture. "We do not need more law, we need more religion. "We do not need more of the things that are seen, we need more of the things that are unseen. "It is on that side of life that it is desirable to put the emphasis at the present time. If that side is strengthened, the other side will take care of itself. "It is that side which is the foundation of all else. If the foundation be firm, the superstructure will stand." --Calvin Coolidge
