I went to a day of Women's Conference. It was excellent. My favorite talks were by the Bednars. They spoke on the theme of the conference, "By small and simple things are great things brought to pass". Elder Bednar compared our spiritual actions to that of a drip sprinkler. It's slow consistent action brings about great results. Likewise when we are consistent in the little things like prayer, scripture study, fasting, family home evening we can expect great things. He said it is far better to do things consistently rather then be all consumed for a short amount of time. Like fasting for 3 days in a row or praying for 5 hours straight. I believe this is true for most things in life, like diet and exercise, relationships, etc.
My other favorite talk was given by my good friend Tricia. She spoke about the importance of family meal time and feeding your family nutritious, real foods.
Clint took the kids to the family cabin this weekend for some winter fun. There is still 8-10 ft. of snow up in the mountains. They had fun, but as you can see from the picture, they forgot the sunscreen and are all sunburned and exhausted.
Luke had an earache this weekend. The cure: Garlic Oil.
It worked like a charm!
We saw this movie. I thought it was fascinating and an amazing story about the power of the human spirit.
