The Cabin- A family Tradition

Every year we get to spend some time at the family cabin.
We join with Grandpa and Grandma and lots of cousins.
It is a time to relax, play, visit, eat endless s'mores, enjoy beauty,
brilliant stars and clean fresh air smelling of mountain pines.

Sadly, this was the last time we will ever get to play on the big rope swing.
Someone was seriously hurt on it earlier in the summer so it was decided that after 30 years of thrills it was time to retire our trusty friend.  It will be missed! :(

Luke discovered Ping-Pong for the first time.  He loves it.
The little boys could spend hours playing if only someone would be
willing to fetch the wayward balls for that long.

We spent a little time at the mountain lakes.  It is a must because it's Kali's (our lab) all time favorite.

Boys will be boys!

We always have a pull-up contest on these bars.

The girls love to get rags in their hair.  Something my mom used to do to me when I was little.
Think of it as old fashioned curlers.

Zach was excited to catch a fish with his new pole.  Although truth be told he was pretty grossed out holding the fish like this.  Can you tell by his trying really hard to smile look?
