Ravenna & Pisa

Ravenna is a small town in Italy, famous for a few old churches that have beautiful mosaics dating back before the Dark Ages.  It was one of my favorite places because the simplicity.  The churches were modest in design and the mosaics focused on the life of Christ rather then the crucifixion.  They portrayed Christ as the Good Shepard, showing scenes from the miracles he performed.
There was a peaceful feeling there.

I also loved how most people were on bikes here.  There were parents hauling kids in front and kids in back of their bikes.  The local high school was just getting out and it was fun to see all the Italian kids.  All the girls were stunning.

Our next stop was Pisa.  It was a quick little stop, but a fun place.
The scene below was in the Cathedral there and was interpreted by our friends, Aaron and Colleen.
They thought it was me questioning Clint about golfing all day, while I'm home slaving away with all the kids.
I told them they were wrong because there were too
many kids for it to be our family.
Hmmm, they were closer then I thought.
