December to Remember

December has come and gone so fast.
Here are some things we did this month.

Shelby's Kindergarten did a cute Christmas program
full of singing and dancing.

Our neighborhood had a "Walk to Bethlehem".  We dressed as shepherds and enjoyed a live Nativity, sang Christmas songs and drank hot chocolate while keeping warm around barrel fires.

Kenadi performed in her first violin recital.
She forgot part of a song and it was a little traumatic for her.
Overall, a good learning experience though.

Our cute neighbors invited the kids over to ride their little ponies.
Definitely one of the highlights of the month for them.

Building with plastic cups was a big hit this month (who knew??)
We also went caroling with neighbors, made caramel popcorn to give away, decorated gingerbread houses,
sent balloons to Santa, and Abby knitted her first hat.

We hosted a family Christmas party with the Olson side.
It was fun to visit with family we rarely see.

Abby loves to take pictures of Luke.  Here are a few of my favs.  He is a little love bug.  While caroling he just had to give hugs to the people we sang too even though most were perfect strangers.  He even wanted to kiss the UPS guy delivering packages to our house.

Christmas morning was awesome this year.  We went to church first where we heard some amazing music and thoughts.
I'm pretty sure by the end most of the congregation was in tears.
When we got home we opened gifts and had a yummy breakfast.
We spent the day with each other and then went to my sisters to have dinner with all my family.

for somebody who claimed to be partnered up with the Grinch this year...it looks like to me, lots of busy fun Holiday, family stuff!

Looks grand!
