Florence

I've been a little distracted lately and am now just getting back to showing pictures from our latest trip.

We spent a day in Florence, Italy.
There is so much to see and one day just wasn't enough time.
One of my favorite things we saw here was
Michelangelo's David sculpture.  It was stunning.

We spent time at the Uffizi Gallery which houses the most important collection of Renaissance paintings in the world. Botticelli’s most famous painting
“the Birth of Venus” is displayed here.

I wish I had studied more Art History
because I'm sure it would have been a lot more meaningful
to know more about the artists, etc.

I found Florence to be a romantic place full of fascinating history.

I loved the hotel we stayed at.
It felt like walking into a Restoration Hardware catalog.
