Moab

Over Labor Day weekend we went to Moab.
Love that place!

We hiked, or as Shelby would say, "marched" to the Delicate Arch.
It was majestic and breathtaking as always.

We climbed the sand hill, which is just on the side of the road across from Arches National Park.
It is really steep, but is soft, warm sand.
The kids loved it, and it was a sweet workout for the adults.

On Sunday, we went to church.
While there we saw the sweetest little deacon passing the Sacrament.
He was disabled and used a walker to get around.
There was a side tray attached to the walker that held the Sacrament trays.
He was just beaming and seemed so pleased to be able to perform his priesthood duty.
It was a touching sight.
After church we drove up to Dead Horse Point, another amazing sight.

Zach rode down with his best bud Ashton.
You know things are going well when after 4 hours of traveling,
the boys are bummed the car ride is over.

All weekend Alexis was determined to have her siblings dress in Western attire so she could take them out and do a "photo-shoot". Only one taker though.

These little guys are everywhere down there.

The place we stayed has a little oasis next to it.
It is a little park complete
with hammocks, a natural spring, pond, fire pit, BBQs, and plenty of shade!

We found plenty of time to spend at the private pool,
backed by the beautiful red rock cliffs too.

We treasure these times as a family. I already feel the older ones wanting to go their own way.
Can someone please slow down the clock!! Time is going by too fast!
